OUR STORY

In Khmer, “Lum Orng” refers to pollen — a symbol of movement, renewal, and life carried forward through nature.

That spirit shapes everything at the restaurant, from the ingredients selected each morning to the stories carried within each dish.

PHILOSOPHY & FARM

Lum Orng was created from a desire to explore Cambodian cuisine beyond preservation alone — not simply recreating the past, but allowing tradition to evolve naturally through seasonality, creativity, and deeper connection to local ingredients.

The menus change quietly throughout the year, guided by weather, harvests, and the landscape surrounding the Mekong region.

Many ingredients served at Lum Orng begin their journey in nearby gardens and farms cultivated in partnership with local growers and communities.
Wild herbs after rainfall, freshly harvested vegetables, native flowers, fermented ingredients, and seasonal river produce all influence the direction of the kitchen.

Rather than forcing consistency, the restaurant embraces the natural rhythm of the land.

Cambodian cuisine is not fixed in the past. It continues to grow with the land, the people, and the season.
